Oslo – Lillehammer (train)

Arrive at Oslo Airport Gardermoen, and continue by train to Lillehammer, the charming town that hosted the Winter Olympic Games in 1994. In Lillehammer we recommend a visit at Maihaugen Open Air Museum. The museum reveals the past of the people living in the Gudbrandsdal valley dating back almost 300 years. Lillehammer – Trondheim (train)

We recommend a visit at the Nidaros Cathedral, built over the grave of St. Olav. Also recommendable is a stroll in Bakklandet, located on the east bank of the river Nid. Fjord cruise and scenic railways (Bergen – Oslo)

Your journey starts by train from Bergen in the morning before a bus ride will bring you to Gudvangen, where you will embark on a 2-hour winter cruise to Flåm. The cruise follows the Nærøyfjord, Europe’s narrowest fjord channel. In Flåm you will have three hours at leisure before your journey continues by train. The Flåm Railway passes through wild and beautiful mountain scenery with waterfalls and steep mountain sides, from the Sognefjord and reaching up to a height of 900 metres. There is no other adhesion railway in the world running on normal tracks that is so steep over a long distance.
