Day 01

Bergen, the Gateway to the Fjords
Arrival in Bergen according to your own itinerary. Bergen is, with good reason, called the Gateway to the Fjords. The city is located on the west coast of Norway with close proximity to the famous Norwegian fjords. Accommodation in Bergen. |

Day 02
|
Bergen - day at leisure
Breakfast at the hotel. This day is at your own leisure. Sights of interest include the Hanseatic Bryggen Wharf, Fløibanen Funicular, Edvard Grieg's home Troldhaugen, the Fish and Flower Market, Bergen Aquarium and Gamle Bergen (Old Bergen Open Air Museum). Accommodation in Bergen. |

Day 03

Bergen - Geilo; Fjord Cruise, Flåm- and Bergen Railway
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure by train from Bergen to Voss, before continuing by bus to Gudvangen. On the way you will experience Stalheimskleiva road, with its 13 steep hairpin bends (Stalheimskleiva is only open during the summer). A 2-hour fjord cruise will bring you along the Nærøyfjord to Flåm. The Nærøyfjord, which is part of the Sognefjord, is the narrowest fjord channel in Europe. This particular fjord arm is also an UNESCO world heritage site. In Flåm you will board the Flåm Railway, which passes through wild and beautiful mountain scenery with waterfalls and steep mountain sides from the Sognefjord reaching up to a height of 900 metres. There is no other adhesion railway in the world running on normal tracks that is so steep over a long distance. From Myrdal you will continue by train on the Bergen Line across the Hardanger Mountain Plateau to the mountain village of Geilo. Accommodation in Geilo. |

Travel by train from Geilo to Oslo
Breakfast at the hotel. Afternoon departure from Geilo by train. The 4 hour journey from Geilo to Oslo is part of the Oslo – Bergen railway, classed as one of the finest train journeys in the world. This railway connects the two largest cities in Norway and shows the diversity of the Norwegian landscape. The Norwegian capital is beautifully situated at the head of the Oslo Fjord and surrounded by forested ridges. Arable fields, vast forests and the untouched nature areas. The city’s surroundings provide recreational opportunities that are frequently taken advantage of by the city’s inhabitants, as well as increasingly by visitors. Accommodation in Oslo. |

Day at leisure in Oslo, the capital of Norway
Breakfast at the hotel. This day is at your own leisure. Oslo offers many well know sights such as the Vigeland Sculpture Park, the Viking Ship Museum, the Munch Museum and Oslo Opera House. Accommodation in Oslo. |

Day 06

Travel by train from Oslo to Stockholm
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning departure by train from Oslo. The 7-hour train journey will take you to Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. Stockholm is built on 14 islands and you are never far from the water. Well-preserved medieval buildings stand alongside modern architecture, and just outside the city, the archipelago of 24 000 islands is waiting to be explored. Sights of interest include the Vasa Museum, Skansen Open Air Museum, City Hall, the Old Town (Gamla Stan) and much more. Accommodation in Stockholm. |
